Teaches the fundamental social, political, and cultural issues of the Turkish Democracy
Comprehends the contributions of Ottoman Reforms to democratization process
Explains the main place of Şer’i Hüccet, Sened-i İttifak, Tanzimat and Islahat Edict in the history of Turkish Democracy
Teaches the period of the study of constitutionalism
Recognize the importance of first constitution Kanun-i Esasi and explains the process of constitutionalism
Investigate the reasons that why Abdülhamit II canceled the assembly and reaction towards him
Comprehends the main reasons of the union and progress movements towards the administration of II. Abdülhamid
Tells the importance of second constitutionalism and Ottoman political parties.
Examines the period of the Republic of Turkey and administration of One-Party

2. Week  The basis of the process of Ottoman political, cultural, and social democratizations
3. Week  Reform Movements in the Ottoman Empire as a preparer of the democratization process.
4. Week  The first attempts of sharing sovereignty of the Ottoman Sultan: Şer’i Hüccet, Sened-i İttifak, Tanzimat and Islahat Eddicts
5. Week  Assemblies and being included people in public administration
6. Week  The struggle of Ottoman intellectuals searching right and freedom
7. Week  The preparation of first Ottoman constitution Kanun-i Esasi, its declaration and changeover constitutionalism
