To be able to list how to obtain soil parameters necessary for foundation design/retaining wall design/slope stability,
To be able to explain where and how to obtain the loads to be used in foundation design/retaining wall design/slope stability,
To be able to explain safety factor concept,
To be able to decide which foundation system is most suitable,
To be able to calculate bearing capacity and consolidation settlement of shallow foundation
To be able to perform stability analaysis by using a software,
To be able to review, discuss and evaluate of the results, diagnose of possible mistakes and suggest some solutions.
