1.Students will be able to produce solutions to all kinds of soil works problems they will encounter in the construction site environment.
2.Being able to perform measurement, calculation, design and projecting of the of excavation - filling works,
3.To be able to make machine and equipment selections and performance calculations related to earth works,
4.To have knowledge about experiments, tests and regulations related to earth works.

2. Week  2-Cross Section drawings and calculations,
3. Week  3-Area and area diagram drawing and calculation,
4. Week  4-Volume calculations (Average Area Method, Application Distance Method, Grid Method),
5. Week  5-Evaluation of the volume-cubic tables,
6. Week  6-Soils in earth works and their their classification,
7. Week  7-Techniques and regulations related to excavation and filling works.
8. Week  8-Midterm exam.-Machine and manual excavation and Loading Works, performance calculations,
