Explain the modifications of Turkish embellishment motifs all through the history,
Classify traditional Turkish motifs,
Draw traditional Turkish motifs,
Make graphical analysis of the traditional Turkish motifs,
Develop practical skills in design and manipulation of motifs according to the use & properties of textiles,
Explain the difference between repeat principles of traditional Turkish motifs and the conventional textile motifs.

1. Week  Introduction, course sources, literature, explanation about the research about the subject,
2. Week  1. Project: Principles and elements of design
3. Week  Turkish designs, introduction to the application areas, methods of designing, places the designs used,
4. Week  Information and drawing style of rose, leaf, Lotus and cloud motifs,
5. Week  Information about Rumi, zencerek, drawings of motifs,
6. Week  2Project: Drawing of a traditional Turkish motif
7. Week  Information about geometric motifs, Types of geometric motifs, Drawings of geometric motifs,
8. Week  Placement and repeat of the geometrical motifs
9. Week  3th Project:Geometric motif design
10. Week  Information and drrawing styles of rose, hyacinth, carnation and tulip motifs,
11. Week  Reed-Way, style and applications,
12. Week  Arabesque design and applications,
13. Week  Symbolic presentation of motifs,Information about life tree, hand design, cross, brush, drawings of motifs,
