At the end of this course, the student will be able to; 1.Will be able to define aesthetics as a discipline.
1.2.Will compare and contrast various understandings of aesthetics that has been developed through ages.
1.3.Will make connections between artworks and the aesthetic understandings that influenced their formation.
2.Will be able to list main philosophers and their aesthetic attitudes (those who/which influenced the area of aesthetics greatly).
2.1.Will identify philosophers (and their basic writings) such as Aristotle, Kant, Schiller, Adorno, Hegel, Nietszche, Heidegger, Arendt, Merlau-Pont
2.2.Will explain his/her own aesthetic understanding through making a syhthesis of the aesthetic understandings taught in the course.
3.Will be able to list and define the basic concepts of aesthetics.
3.1.Will explain specialized terms of aesthetics such as aesthetic attitude, auto-teles, aesthetic pleasure, aesthetic taste, aesthetic subject and ae
