The student can identify the relationship between the science of archaeology and conservation.
The student can identify and define the variety of manufacture and works of art in the Archaic, Classical, Helenistic and Roman Periods.
The student can identify and evaluate the characteristics and differences of period from the Archaic period to the Byzantine Period.

2. Week  Definition of general terms related to classical archaeology.
3. Week  The importance and results of Aegean (Tribe) migration and general outlook of Anatolia in Iron Age.
4. Week  Aeols and Ions–Civilisations of the Dor, Caria and Lycia-Lydia.
5. Week  The art of ceramics in the antique Greek Civilisation.
6. Week  The art of sculpture in the antique Greek Civilisation.
7. Week  Architecture, general styles and related terminology in the antique Greek Civilisation.
8. Week  Midterm Exam
9. Week  The art of ceramics, scuplture and architecture in the Roman Period.
10. Week  The art, techniques and styles of wall painting in Antique Age.
11. Week  Antique jewellery, definitions and related terminology.
12. Week  Glass in the Antique Age, fabrication techniques, and glass objects.
13. Week  Definition, fabrication techniques and history of coins.
14. Week  Terminology and identification methods for various small objects.
