To preserve, to live and improve the cultural heritage of movable and immovable in the formation, development and continuity of urban identity.
To consider and apply current conservation approaches in decision making process in urban planning.
To recognize the importance of cultural heritage within the multi-dimensional context of urban planning.
To recognize, understand and evaluate the Ottoman urban structure on which today's cities are based.
To gain knowledge and skill of doing research, to use oral and written expression methods correctly, to share information.

  Theoretical instruction by the responsible lecturer, conducting research-examination on sample cities, on-site investigation and observation.
