Project design and database creation in city and regional planning topics using Geographical Information Software (in particular ArcGIS software).
Learning effective use of ArcMap 9.2 GIS software.
Composing a database, analyzing an urban issue using ArcMap 9.2 tools, displaying findings on digital maps.
Students will be able to understand raster and vector data and their use in GIS.
Apply simple spatial models (shortest path analysis, overlay).
