Learning methodhology of data and matarial gathering and material then serves as a vehicle for planning rather than pieces of information
Focuses on basic skills, content and methodology of writing a survey report
Acquires team-work ability that is basic for urban planning discipline
Develops an interdisciplinary perspective of learning and studying
Provides connections between research, analysis, synthesis and end products with an holistic and integrated planning approach
Structures practice in decision making
Acquires discipline/professional skills and knowledge for the planning work

   Planning project is supported by all theoretical lectures.
 --COURSE CONTENT
1. Week  Introduction and general information about the course, formation of student groups for detailed analitical survey report
2. Week  Data collection about the selected urban site in Ankara
3. Week  Data collection and documentation about the selected urban site in Ankara and assesment of these data, pre-study of analitical survey report
4. Week   Field study at a selected medium scale urban area
5. Week  General evaluation of field study, preparation of analytical surveys
6. Week  First Jury- Presentation of analitical studies and synthesis
7. Week  Informing about the alternative scenarios and formation of working groups
8. Week  Developing future urban plans according to the scenarios
9. Week  Planning interventions study relating to the scenarios
10. Week  SWOT analysis and planning interventions study relating to the scenarios
11. Week  Second Jury - Development plans and detailed analyses
12. Week  Alternative plan proposals at 1/25000 scale
13. Week  Application tools for plan proposals at 1/25000 scale
14. Week  Organization programs for plan proposals at 1/25000 scale
15. Week  Third Jury- Assesment of plan proposals,application tools and organization programs at 1/25000 scale

   Planning project is supported by theoretical lectures. Various publications about city planning support the theoretical part of the studio studies. Documents and publications of all related public instıtutıons are used as the references of the project study.
