Learning methodology of data and material gathering and material then serves as a vehicle for planning rather than pieces of information
Focuses on basic skills, content and methodology of writing a survey report
Acquires team-work ability that is basic for urban planning discipline
Develops an interdisciplinary perspective of learning and studying
Provides connections between research, analysis, synthesis and end products with a holistic and integrated planning approach
Structures practice in decision making
Acquires discipline/professional skills and knowledge for the planning work

3. Week  Preliminary Jury: Data collection and documentation about the case study
4. Week  Field study at a selected medium scale urban area
5. Week  Theoretical Lecture: Site Selection in urban Planning General evaluation of field study, preparation of analytical surveys
6. Week  Theoretical Lecture: Analysis and Synthesis in Planning
7. Week  1st Intermediate Jury- Presentation of analytical studies and synthesis Theoretical Lecture: SWOT Analysis
