To define the lighting design principles, variables affecting the ligting design, and lighting distribution strategies.
To distinguish among different lighting approaches.

1. Week  Light, lighting, classification and quality of lighting
2. Week  Definition of light
3. Week  Photometric symbols and optical laws
4. Week  Human eye and seeing, physiologic and optical principals, visual comfort and glare
5. Week  Artificial light sources, luminous flux distribution characteristics of different light sources
6. Week  Lighting luminaries, their basic functions, luminous flux distribution characteristics of different light luminaries
7. Week  Materials, reflectors, refractors, diffusers, screening devices, seals and filters in luminaries production
8. Week  Midterm Exam
9. Week  Photometric data sheet of indoor and outdoor lighting luminaries
10. Week  Physical and mechanical protection performances of luminaries
