The student acquires various definitions of language, general information about world languages.
The student looks at the language studies in the East and West traditions until the beginning of the 20th century with an historical perspective (language studies in the First Age, language studies in the Middle Ages).
Students, the emergence of the concept of language science in the 20th century; know the branches and fields of study of linguistics.
Students will be able to comprehend Ferdinand De Saussure and Constructivist language science theory (Geneva School of Linguistics).
Student, language science schools that adopt the structuralist approach; Understands the Prague School.
The student comprehends French Functionalism (Andre Martinet).
Student, Gustave Guillame and Psychomechanics, Copenhagen School and Glosematics, American Structuralism (Franz Boas, Edward Sapir, Leonard Bloomfield, Zellig Sabbetai Harris).
Noam Chomsky and Productive Transformational Grammar Theory, Language Comprehends theories of science-based grammar.

1Having enough academic information about: description of the language, functions of language, grammar and basic concepts of the science of language, Qualifications of world languages, place of Turkish language among these languages, historical periods of Turkish language, sound and sound events, word attachments, word derivation paths, phrases, sentences, sentence elements, sentence types.X
