Gains the ability to think interdisciplinary by associating his / her own disciplines with the knowledge he / she learned in this course.
To gain the values such as unity, independence, national interests, nationality, active citizenship.
Develop a realistic perspective by associating a historical event with the events taking place today.
The student learns to analyze documents while examining materials such as first-hand source, documentary, film used during the course.
To have different perspectives on the subjects described in the course with the reading of auxiliary books on the course of Atatürk's Principles and History of Turkish Revolution II.
Develops a sense of respect for different views and ideas and explores and reads their views.
Gain experience on how to talk in front of the public when using discussion method in the group and in the course.
Learn to adopt universal values while respecting and respecting their roots.

1. Week  The peace plans proposed to the Ottoman Empire; the Paris Peace Conference, the London Conference, the San Remo Conference and the Treaty of Sèvres.
2. Week   National Struggle, Eastern Front and the Southern Front Collisions: Marash, Urfa, Adana and Antep Defenses.
3. Week  Establishment of the Regular Army and the Western Front Collisions.
4. Week  Commitment to National Declaration of Nationality, Winning the Great Offensive, the signing of the Mudanya Armistice.
5. Week  The signing of the Lausanne Peace Treaty and the importance of this treaty.
6. Week  Establishment of a new state in Ankara and reforms in the political atmosphere: Removal of the sultanate, the proclamation of the Republic, 3 March 1924 Laws.
7. Week  Establishment of political parties. democracy experiment in the Republic of Turkey, revolts to democracy.
8. Week  Midterm Week
9. Week  The arrangements in educations and culture, health and public works, innovations in economic life: Tax regulations, establishment of new banks, measures taken to stimulate agriculture, establishment of some industrial organizations.
10. Week  The Republican Period of Turkey's Foreign Policy: The solution of the problems that could not be solved in Lausanne between 1923-1932, foreign policy between 1932-1939.
11. Week  Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's Death and Atatürk's Principles and Revolutions.
12. Week  From 1950 to 1980, the general situation in the world and Turkey.
13. Week  The developments in Turkey and in the world from 1980 to the present day.
