Students will learn the criteria used to classify contemporary dialects of Turkish.
Students recognize the main characteristics of Turkish dialects,
Students will be able to understand which Turkish dialect is written by a text belonging to any of the contemporary Turkic dialects.

1. Week  Brief information about the formation of Azeri Turks, Azerbaijan Republic and Azerbaijan Turkish, Cyrillic and New Latin alphabets used in Azerbaijan
2. Week  Alphabet Exercises
3. Week  Azerbaijan Turkish vowel system, different vowels, vowel harmony (in comparison with Turkey in Turkish), written with the Cyrillic alphabet in Azerbai
4. Week  Vowel changes (Old Turkish by Turkey and the Turkish comparative)
5. Week  Consonant system, different consonants, vowel changes (according to the Old Turkish and Turkey with comparative Turkish), consonant harmony and incomp
6. Week  Other phonetic changes: assimilation, contradiction, consonants, haplology, displacement

9. Week  Suffixes (different from Turkey Turkish), case suffixes, personal pronouns, demonstrative pronouns
