I can understand the structure and function relationships of bacteria in food
Use laboratory techniques and equipment used in microbiology applications
Knowledge and skills acquired in microbiology can use to solve their food and health problems

General characteristics of microorganisms can comprehend and interpret the relationship between diversity and environmental.
In the field of food microbiology lab. planning studies, lab. techniques, methods of analysis may gain the ability to transfer health and food.

 --WEEKLY SCHEDULE
1. Week  Counting methods using solid media in food samples. Course topics to be associated with national legislation.
2. Week  Cast and dissemination methods
3. Week  Calculation of applications and the number of colonies cast and dissemination methods.
4. Week  Counting methods using the liquid medium in food samples.
5. Week  The most probable number method (EMS) and its application.
6. Week  Membrane filtration method and microscopic counts (Breed method, Howard slide, slide Thoma) methods. /
7. Week  Total in food samples (Mesophilic, and Psychrophilic thermophiles) bacteria count.
8. Week  Coliform bacteria in food samples (solid media and EMS method) counting method, Midterm
9. Week  Fecal coliform bacteria counts in food samples.
10. Week  Escherichia coli in samples .The food: Solid medium and method of counting by EMS.
11. Week  Yeast and mold count in food samples
12. Week  Enumeration of Staphylococcus aureus in food samples.
