Students learns the development and geological ages of earth.
Comprehend the reason for bio diversity in earth and it’s development
Learns the location of the Turkey in earth geography and evaluates the origin of bio diversity

1. Week  Definition of Biogeography and Zoogeography, and related sciences. Geological Eras
2. Week  Remarks on positioning of continents and landscapes.
3. Week  Points to be considered when examinate animal disperse. Primitive vertebrate and transition from water to land. Glaciers and land bridges.
4. Week  Zoogeographical regions of the earth and evaluation criterias. Characteristics and endemics of Palearctic and Nearctic regions.
5. Week  Characteristics and endemics of Etiyopya-Oryantalis, Neotropic, Australia and Antarctic regions
6. Week  Animal immigration, human affect on animal deployment. Main rules of animal deployment. Principles of speciation and taxons deployment. Turkey’s zooge
7. Week  Path of animals entrance to Anatolia and important barriers. General assessment of the course and testing the learning outcomes.
8. Week  General assessment of the course and testing the learning outcomes, mid-term exam
9. Week  Sections and history of phytogeography. General terms and areal types and their formations.
10. Week  Floristic kingdoms and classification of the regions.
