To have full knowledge of oral hygiene practices. They should inform patients about the etiology of periodontal diseases and encourage patients to take responsibility for their oral and dental health.
To have sufficient knowledge about general principles of periodontal surgery and anatomical formations to be considered; to be able to identify the need for periodontal surgical procedures and direct them to the relevant specialist
To have necessary knowledge about biomaterials used in the treatment of periodontal diseases.
To have sufficient knowledge about the diagnosis and treatment of furcation defects and to be competent to evaluate the indications and direct them to the specialist when necessary.
To have knowledge about periodontal plastic and aesthetic surgery methods and to be competent to evaluate the indications and direct them to the specialist when necessary.
To be able to evaluate periodontal treatments with restorative, endodontic and orthodontic treatment approaches and discuss alternative solutions with a multidisciplinary perspective
To make biological, clinical, biomechanical evaluations in oral implant applications, to have sufficient knowledge about treatment planning, prosthetic approaches and possible complications, to be able to differentiate the necessary situations and refer them to the specialist.
To have sufficient knowledge about diagnosis and treatment of periimplant diseases and to be able to distinguish the necessary conditions and direct them to the specialist.
To evaluate the results of periodontal treatment, to be able to make the necessary plans for the protection of periodontal and periimplant tissue health and supportive treatment.
To have the ability to monitor current information and developments related to dentistry and use them on site.
